Abstract

Currently, the educational environment is marked by digitalization. Adaptive learning emerges as a solution to personalize the educational experience. This article explored the theoretical and technological bases of adaptive learning, starting from its roots in classical pedagogical theories and analyzing how it is implemented in the modern context. Throughout development, aspects such as content personalization, impact on student motivation, and equity challenges were addressed, particularly in contexts with limited access to digital resources. In addition, the need for continuous training for teaching staff was highlighted to increase the benefits of this model. Finally, it was concluded that adaptive learning faces highly significant challenges when addressing the needs of each student in contemporary education. This model not only has the potential to erase educational gaps but also promotes a more inclusive and relevant learning experience. Therefore, it responds to a dynamic and digitalized world.
