Education is important for the formation of people. However, poor facilities, work materials in poor condition, lack of personal protective equipment and students' ignorance of risk situations could be problems within educational facilities. The evaluation of dangerous and unsafe conditions was carried out in the laboratories of a high school in the municipality of Querétaro, Mexico. The Fine method was used to demonstrate the consequences that can be generated, the degree of exposure and the probability of occurrence of certain risk situations. The study had a classic quantitative approach. The study was applied with third, fifth and sixth semester students who used these school laboratories. To establish the number of participants in the study, the finite population formula was used, and the responses were subsequently analyzed through a database. The results revealed the risk situations that students experience within the laboratories and a series of suggestions were provided to reduce the risks that compromise the health of the educative community.
