Effects of inflation in Belize due to the COVID-19 pandemic

Belize suffered great political, social and economic changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic that began in 2020. This research analyzed the economic impact that the pandemic had in Belize based on inflation from 2019 to 2022. For data collection Established protocols, lack of borders, change in wages and unemployment rate were investigated to identify the factors that affected inflation in Belize. In addition, a questionnaire was administered to 213 Belizeans to analyze the data collected from reliable sources of information from the Belize Statistics Institute and from other research carried out in Caribbean and North American countries. It was detected that inflation was not affected by the country's unemployment.
